Whilst looking for new places to venture.. well, we couldn't find any. So we went back to the mountains, and took a different road. This time there were no clouds or fog, the sky was clear and the sun was very bright. I thought it would be an interesting change from the usual darkness, but that didn't mean I wouldn't use open shade the entire time taking pictures out here.. haha. Tonight, I revisited a photoshoot of Dakota. Originally, I had the idea to edit these shots all bright and colorful. Some are featured in my Portraits and Home pages. But tonight, I saw something a little darker in them, and added some blue monotone filters to them. Click an image below to view its full size.
We made a second trip out to the mountains. This time, we took highway 39 all the way to its end, not far past the Falling Springs stop. We also made a stop to the Crystal Lake Cafe. The cafe is located in a beautiful forest campground where part of The Hunger Games was filmed and where you can find a great cup of chili after exploring the chilly mountains (lawl).
