Antelope Valley Poppies 2023

My long time friend, Will, and I took a photo adventure to the Antelope Valley poppy fields this week. I brought my Pentax 645z and he brought his Leica M5. It was great catching up with him and talking about what can kindle the fire of inspiration in photography after a dry spell. For me, it has been my new medium format camera, for sure. On this day in particular, we found an abandoned boat in the northern part of the valley. It was a beautiful subject amongst the sea of orange poppies, and flowers were even growing inside of it.
